Agrícola Carolmo - BLUEBERRIES

In 2021, Agrícola Carolmo asked us to design and install a Frost Control System for a 5 hectare blueberry plantation, in a 3 meter frame between rows and 0.80 meters above rows. The orchard is located in the sector of Carolmo, in the municipality of Quillota, Valparaiso Region.

We analyzed the technical characteristics of the installed irrigation system, pressure levels (bar), water and energy sources, and from this we made the corresponding designs to have the required flow rates for this project. Finally, we successfully installed Dew Plus® kits with self-compensating drippers of 15 liters/hour, which resulted in a precipitation for Frost Control with a total flow of 1.4 liters/second/hectare and 7 liters/second for the 5 hectares.

Throughout the installation process, we have teams on site to accompany the customer and ensure that the system is operating as designed.
